Cookie Policy – Wall-it

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small files that are stored on or read from your computer, phone, tablet or other device when you use a website.

Wall-it may also use similar technologies such as:

  • localStorage,
  • sessionStorage,
  • pixels,
  • other technical identifiers.

In this policy, the word “cookies” is sometimes used as a collective term for these technologies.

3. Your cookie choices

Wall-it uses four categories:

  • Necessary
  • Functional
  • Analytics
  • Marketing

When you visit the website, you can:

  • accept all non-necessary cookies,
  • reject non-necessary cookies,
  • make individual choices per category.

Analytics and marketing technologies that require consent are blocked until the relevant consent has been given.

You can open Cookie settings in the website footer at any time and change or withdraw your choice.

4. Necessary cookies

Necessary technologies are used for functions required for the basic operation of the website and the online store.

Examples:

  • security,
  • session management,
  • shopping cart,
  • checkout,
  • saving cookie choices.

Examples may include:

  • wallit-cookie-consent
  • necessary Shopify cookies for the cart and checkout.

Such cookies normally do not require consent when they are strictly necessary to provide a service requested by the user.

5. Functional cookies

Functional technologies are used to remember choices and improve the functioning of the website.

Examples:

  • selected market,
  • country,
  • language,
  • interface settings.

Examples in Wall-it's implementation may include:

  • wallit-country
  • wallit-locale
  • sidebar_state

6. Analytics cookies

Analytics technologies are used to understand how the website is used and to improve functionality and user experience.

Google Analytics 4

Google Analytics may collect information about, for example:

  • sessions,
  • page views,
  • device and browser,
  • product views,
  • cart events,
  • checkout events,
  • e-commerce events.

Examples of cookies:

  • _ga
  • _ga_*

Microsoft Clarity

Clarity is used for, for example:

  • heatmaps,
  • session recordings,
  • clicks,
  • scrolling,
  • mouse movements,
  • technical information about device and browser.

Analytics technologies that require consent are only activated after the relevant consent has been given.

7. Marketing cookies

Marketing technologies may be used for:

  • conversion measurement,
  • campaign attribution,
  • ad optimisation,
  • retargeting,
  • audience analysis.

Wall-it uses, among others:

Google Ads

Google Ads may use ad and campaign identifiers.

Meta / Facebook Pixel

Examples may include:

  • _fbp
  • _fbc

TikTok Pixel

Examples may include:

  • _ttp

Marketing and campaign information may also include, for example:

  • gclid
  • fbclid
  • ttclid
  • UTM parameters.

Such technologies are only activated after relevant consent where consent is required.

8. Marketing attribution and subsequent order analysis

If you have given the relevant marketing consent, campaign and attribution information may be collected during your visit.

If you later make a purchase, some of this information may be linked to the order so that Wall-it can analyse which marketing channels have contributed to the sale.

Such internal order and attribution information may then be processed in Wall-it's internal systems, for example Airtable, as described in the Privacy Policy.

9. Local storage

Wall-it may use localStorage and sessionStorage for, for example:

  • consent choices,
  • country and market,
  • language,
  • shopping cart,
  • interface settings,
  • campaign attribution after relevant consent.

Some session-based information disappears when the current session or browser tab is closed.

10. Airtable and n8n

Airtable and n8n are mainly used in Wall-it's backend and automation flows after or in connection with information having been collected through other systems.

If these services do not themselves store or read information directly on the user's device, they do not need to be listed as cookies solely because they process personal data server-side.

How Airtable and n8n process personal data is described in Wall-it's Privacy Policy.

11. Information that may be collected

Depending on the technologies and consents that apply, the information may include:

  • IP address,
  • cookie and session identifiers,
  • browser,
  • device,
  • operating system,
  • pages visited,
  • product views,
  • clicks,
  • scrolling,
  • cart events,
  • checkout events,
  • purchase and e-commerce events,
  • campaign identifiers,
  • advertising identifiers.

12. Third parties

Depending on your choices and the features you use, information collected through cookies or similar technologies may be processed by, for example:

  • Shopify,
  • Google,
  • Meta,
  • TikTok,
  • Microsoft.

In certain situations, a provider may also process information for its own purposes in accordance with its own terms and privacy policies.

13. Retention period

Different cookies and technologies are stored for different lengths of time.

Wall-it's technical implementation includes, for example:

  • country/market setting: approximately 1 year,
  • certain interface settings: approximately 7 days,
  • certain session-based attribution: until the current browser tab or session is closed.

The final current cookie list, with the respective name, provider, purpose and retention period, shall be set out in Wall-it's cookie information or cookie settings.

14. Changing or withdrawing consent

You can open Cookie settings in the footer at any time.

There you can, for example:

  • change which categories you accept,
  • reject non-necessary cookies,
  • withdraw previously given consent.

Withdrawing consent affects future processing based on that consent.

15. Browser settings

You can also delete or block cookies through your browser settings.

If strictly necessary cookies are blocked, the cart or checkout, for example, may work less well or not at all.

16. Changes

Wall-it updates the cookie information when the technical implementation, our providers or the use of cookies changes.
